How to Use Bath Mitts With Finger Puppet for Fun Baths

Quick answer

Use the bath mitt to gently scrub your baby while the finger puppet adds playful interaction, making bath time a fun, bonding experience.

How to use the bath mitt with finger puppet

1. Prepare the bath: Fill the tub with warm water (around 37°C) and test it with your elbow. Place the mitt and puppet within easy reach. Check water temperature every time to avoid burns.
2. Wet the mitt and add soap: Run the terry cloth mitt under warm water and apply a small amount of baby-safe wash. Lather gently to avoid excess suds. Too much soap can irritate skin or cause slippery surfaces.
3. Scrub gently while playing: Use the mitt to clean your baby's body with soft circular motions. Meanwhile, wear the finger puppet on your other hand to make funny sounds or peek-a-boo. Keep the puppet dry if your baby wants to hold it; wet fabric can be cold and startling.
4. Rinse and dry: Remove the mitt and rinse your baby with clean water. Use a separate hooded towel to pat dry. Rinse the mitt and puppet in cold water and hang to air dry. Never wring the terry cloth—it can stretch the fibers.
